New Kitchen Design
This is one kitchen I can not wait to see become constructed! There was a lot of planning put into this kitchen design. The columns separate the kitchen from the open-ceiling living room, which hold a little more storage inside of them! This kitchen has the most storage I think I've ever seen! The homeowner was adamant about the storage within her dream kitchen (challenge accepted!) We were able to incorporate so many great cabinets with all different kinds of pull-out storage to pantry storage. She wanted a wall of double-ovens which allowed me to easily incorporate the pantry cabinets, while sticking to a symmetrical design with the heights of the cabinets on either side of the range.
The other side, shown below includes a built-in fridge with cabinetry surrounding into a farmhouse sink and a large slider window above for easy access to the side deck.
This is the floor plan without all the dimensions and cabinet sizes for construction purposes. The overall kitchen size is 18'-6" long (along island length) by 15'-6" wide. This island is 10' long by 3' wide with an overhang of 1' counter-top for stools beneath! This image below is describing the work-flow triangle and the spacing between the lower cabinets and the island for nice work space.
